What is a Pawn?

A pawnbroker is one who lends money while holding an item of value as collateral. A pawn is a loan. It works like this:

1. You bring in something you own and give it to us to hold as collateral for a loan.

2. We will typically Loan up to 40 to 50% of the current used value of your item.

3. When you repay the loan plus interest, the pawned article is returned to you.

4. If you don't repay the loan, after 90 days the pawned item becomes the property of the pawn shop. The collateral is put out for sale and the debt is canceled.
